The CINQUE Cares logo is not just a mark on our labels, but rather an initiative. Our initiative towards a more sustainable future. CINQUE Cares is our promise to minimise the negative economic, environmental and social impacts of the fashion industry, whilst also creating transparency regarding what we are doing now – and what we will undertake in the future.
We guarantee a respectful approach to resources, the planet and people. We use our influence to ensure that sustainability is given the necessary focus, both within the industry and amongst our customers.
Product
CINQUE stands for high quality and a passion for what we do. We focus on a comprehensive value chain, from ordering materials right through to the point of sale. We work with experts who make no compromises when it comes to quality and craftsmanship. Despite our passion for refined details, our collections will never overdo the bold fashion trends.
Whether women’s or men’s fashion, casual or business outfits, the aesthetic of casual elegance prevails. In this way, the design team succeeds in combining the current zeitgeist with timelessness and creating fashion that is a pleasure to wear for a long time – provided, of course, it is cared for properly.
SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
Since 2022, we have been using cotton sourced through the Better Cotton Initiative to promote sustainable cotton farming. We also use recycled materials such as down and polyester in our collections – all these items are marked with the CINQUE Cares label.
TIERWOHL
We do not use real fur, angora, exotic animals and materials from endangered animal species. When we work with leather, we do so exclusively with leather that is a by-product of the food industry
2ND CHANCE
We never throw away or destroy unsold products. We first offer unsold stock at reduced prices. Any remaining products are then given a second chance in our outlets. Anything that doesn’t sell there goes to our staff sale. And if there are still products left over, we have been donating them to a charity for many years.
Planet
We realise that the best way to protect the climate is not to emit CO₂ in the first place. That’s why we cut back wherever we can: CINQUE uses green electricity and alternative solutions, such as a fleet of vehicles that is 50% electric or plug-in hybrid, and minimises the consumption of finite resources and fossil fuels.
LESS IS MORE
We keep delivery routes as short as possible by producing primarily in Europe;possible and rely on means of transport with the lowest CO² footprint – such as train or ship. We try to avoid air transport or to minimise it and to bundle transport capacities
RESTRICTED SUBSTANCES
Dangerous and toxic substances for the environment are a NO-GO for us! To this end, we maintain a Restricted Substances List (RSL) that contains the requirements of all important internationally recognised environmental standards and legal regulations (e.g. REACH, Oeko-Tex, The State of California’s Proposition 65, CPSIA).
PACKED WITH LOVE
The aim is to conserve resources, which is why our packaging is made from recycled materials with as little energy as possible;energy as possible from recycled, recyclable or renewable raw materials and is certified with the Green Dot.
People
