CINQUE was founded in 1984 by two friends in Cinque Terre, Italy. Their grand plan was to bring carefree, laid-back Italian fashion to the world, infused with a passion for design. It was precisely this idea that allowed the pair to capture the spirit of the 1980s – at that time, Italian fashion was a status symbol and a coveted souvenir, as the German fashion market was dominated by domestic brands. The first men’s collection was launched in Germany that very same year. A few years later, in 1991, the first women’s collection was launched.

CINQUE is a contemporary, progressive fashion label for women and men. We combine a long-standing tradition with Italian passion and unique expertise. With our commitment to quality, craftsmanship and innovative design, we position ourselves at the entry level to the upper price segment and stand for high quality, design and a passion for what we do. Italian passion shapes our corporate culture day in, day out and is celebrated through an authentic and open way of life. We place great emphasis on a comprehensive value chain, from ordering materials right through to the point of sale, as well as on genuine craftsmanship. This is the only way to meet our high standards in terms of design, fit and workmanship. That
is why we work with experts who make no compromises when it comes to workmanship and quality, favour predominantly Italian and/or European fabrics, trims and materials, and manufacture primarily in Europe.
Another equally important element in the creation of the collection is the production of prototypes in our in-house sewing workshop at our headquarters in Mönchengladbach. This not only ensures flexibility and efficient communication between the design team and the sewing workshop, but also guarantees perfectly fitting sample garments right from the start.

These are probably the adjectives that best describe CINQUE's collections: Symbols of a passion for beauty and a certain class. Typically Italian, that is! The creative origins of CINQUE have been in the head office in Mönchengladbach, Germany, since the late 80s. Here, our design team individually develops two main collections for WOMEN and MEN every year - SPRING/SUMMER and FALL/WINTER - as well as the two intermediate collections for summer and winter - High Summer | Early Fall and Celebration | Early Spring.

In addition , the 9 TO 5 programme offers a successful continuous business collection for WOMEN and MEN. With a sophisticated modular system, CINQUE business wearers will find the perfect solution for a smart look. We have deliberately specialised in both areas, women and men, in order to offer maximum comfort.

The CINQUE fashion range is complemented by licensed products that allow customers to create a complete look.
These licensed products are developed in close collaboration with the fashion design team and include glasses, socks, hats, scarves, belts and lighting.
